E Jesus, andando ao longo do mar da Galileia, viu dois irmãos – Simão, chamado Pedro, e seu irmão André, os quais lançavam a rede ao mar, porque eram pescadores. Disse-lhes: Vinde após mim, e eu vos farei pescadores de homens. Eles, pois, deixando imediatamente as redes, o seguiram.
As he was walking by the Sea of Galilee he saw two brothers, Simon (called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea (for they were fishermen). He said to them, “Follow me, and I will turn you into fishers of people.” They left their nets immediately and followed him.
Y andando Jesús junto al mar de Galilea, vio a dos hermanos, Simón, llamado Pedro, y Andrés su hermano, que echaban la red en el mar; porque eran pescadores. Y les dijo: Venid en pos de mí, y yo os haré pescadores de hombres. Ellos entonces, dejando luego las redes, le siguieron.
Comme il marchait le long de la mer de Galilée, il vit deux frères, Simon, appelé Pierre, et André, son frère, qui jetaient un filet dans la mer; car ils étaient pêcheurs. Il leur dit: Suivez-moi, et je vous ferai pêcheurs d’hommes. Aussitôt, ils laissèrent les filets, et le suivirent.
